Nina Bisbee, 1981 B.S. Landscape Architecture

Nina Bisbee has worked for over 30 years as a Planner, Project Manager, Capital Program Manager and Facilities Executive. She has spent the majority of her career at the Philadelphia Zoo, preparing and implementing the Zoo’s long-range development and facilities master plans; overseeing the Zoo’s project management activities and developing and implementing facilities related sustainability initiatives. She has overseen projects worth more than $180 million in support of the Zoo’s mission: “By connecting people with wildlife, the Philadelphia Zoo creates joyful discovery and inspires action for animals and habitats”. Recent projects include the award-winning, LEED Gold “Hamilton Family Children’s Zoo and Faris Family Education Center: KidzooU;” the award- winning “Centennial District Intermodal Transportation Center;” and the initial phases of the innovative “Zoo 360” animal rotation trail system, which allows animals to safely explore the Zoo outside of their home habitats. Ms. Bisbee is a graduate of Penn State’s department of landscape architecture.
