Stage Management and Design Technology (BFA)

AFTER SEPTEMBER 1, 2017:
1. Apply for admission online at HTTP://ADMISSIONS.PSU.EDU. STUDENTS SHOULD APPLY TO THE THEATRE B.F.A. DEGREE. Priority consideration for freshmen admission to University Park is given to complete applications filed by November 30. Transfer applicants should file their applications by February 1. Admission to programs in the Penn State School of Theatre includes both an interview and paperwork review and an academic review by Penn State Undergraduate Admissions. Both must be favorable to gain admission into the program.

ALL AUDITIONS AND INTERVIEWS FOR ALL PROGRAMS MUST BE SCHEDULED BY FEBRUARY 1 AND COMPLETED BY FEBRUARY 25.

2. Upload the required materials (resume, essay responses, contact information for two references who will submit a letter of recommendation for you, production notes, pictures, paperwork and/or process documentation of productions and projects you’ve participated in that show your stage managing and production experiences). 

UPLOAD YOUR MATERIALS

All materials must be submitted at least two weeks prior to your preferred interview date. You should be prepared to review your production book with the head of our Stage Management program during your interview. Please feel free to bring additional documentation with you.

In the best of all worlds, applications come in a neat and orderly fashion.  If neat and orderly does not describe your experience, email us anyway.  While there are deadlines there are also extenuating circumstances.  We keep a less rigid position and evaluate our applications with that in mind.
