Piano proficiency: All students must enroll in appropriate piano courses (class piano or private instruction), beginning with the first semester and continuing until the piano proficiency is passed.
Four credits of a secondary instrument are required, with a minimum of two credits on one instrument. Class piano may count as a secondary instrument.
+ 461W-464W series or Special Topics course taught by music history or theory faculty.
Change of Major Requirements: A minimum grade point average of 2.0 and an audition are required.
