The College of Arts and Architecture welcomes Don Lenze as its new director of development.
Don spent the past five years working in development for Penn State’s College of Engineering, first as associate director and then director of major gifts. Before joining the University in 2008, Don, a Penn State alumnus, worked for 13 years as campus director of The Navigators, a campus leadership team at the University of Massachusetts. In this position, Don led a team of staff and volunteers focused on mentoring emerging leaders throughout the university. He also supervised fundraising and development activities.
Don is currently pursuing a Penn State master’s degree in human resources, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2013. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State in 1989. "My vision as a fundraiser is to inspire joyful giving that transforms academia. This happens when donor passions are interwoven with the strategic vision of our college. I am excited about joining the College of Arts and Architecture family and helping to craft the next portion of this tapestry."
