Grant Proposal Writing Workshop: The Basics of Writing a Good Proposal

Printer-friendly version Share

The College of Arts and Architecture Research Office will present a workshop on writing a grant proposal and developing a budget on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 11, noon-1 p.m. in 121 Borland. The same workshop will be presented on both dates to accomodate faculty's teaching schedules. This workshop will cover the basics (organization, considerations, preparing a budget, common mistakes) of writing any grant proposal but will focus on the College of Arts and Architecture 2014-2015 Competition for Faculty Research Grants.

Although timed to coincide with the College’s Faculty Research Grant deadline of October 13, this workshop is intended to assist all faculty in preparing strong proposals, whatever the funding source. The workshop will be especially helpful for first-time applicants. The guidelines for the 2014-2015 Competition for Faculty Research Grants are posted here.

If you have questions about the workshop or the College Faculty Research Grants competition, contact Randy Ploog at rxp5@psu.edu.
