Music ed grad student wins teaching award

Scott-Lee Atchison, Ph.D. candidate in music education, was recently awarded the Howard F. Martin Graduate Assistant Outstanding Teaching Award. The award recognizes graduate assistants for outstanding teaching performance and is sponsored jointly by the Graduate School, through the Harold F. Martin Graduate Assistant Outstanding Teaching Award Endowment, and the Office of the Vice President and Dean for Undergraduate Education. Atchison has taught a section of Music 258, Fundamentals of Digital Audio, as well as assisted with courses in instrumental music education. He taught at the University of Kentucky and Texas A&M at Commerce prior to enrolling at Penn State in fall 2017.
