Seven graduate students and two faculty members represented the Penn State Art Education program at the 14th annual Curriculum and Pedagogy Conference held November 6-9 in New Orleans. The international conference draws attendees primarily from the United States and Canada. Chapters by two current Art Education graduate students, Amy Bloom and Alphonso Grant, appeared in the annual edited book composed of submissions from presentations at the 2012 conference. Each year the Curriculum and Pedagogy Conference presents the James T. Sears Award to the top graduate student chapter published in the book. Alphonso Grant received honorable mention for his chapter in the 2012 conference book.
