Percussion Professor Donates Bass Chimes

Three decades of leadership in the School of Music's percussion program united on Monday, March 28, when a set of bass chimes was installed in Music Building II. Dan Armstrong, director of percussion studies since 1982, and Michael Udow, his predecessor, were joined by current percussion students to install the addition to the school's percussion instruments. Armstrong purchased the chimes from Udow's company, Equilibrium, a supplier of high-quality percussion instruments, recordings and related products, and donated them to the University.
