School of Visual Arts Affiliate Appointment: Artist-in-Residence

Negar Fadaeidehkordi has been appointed affiliate assistant professor, artist-in-residence, in the College of Arts and Architecture, School of Visual Arts (SoVA), November 1, 2017 – April 30, 2019. Negar completed her M.F.A. in Art at Penn State in 2014. As an emerging artist recognized for her innovative ways of using digital fabrication in combination with the traditional craft methods, she brings to the college and SoVA knowledge and experience that will be beneficial in advancing our studio programs, and interests in interdisciplinary practice-based research.

Negar's studio art practice integrates multiple methods of digital fabrication and she has proficiencies in working with and designing 2D and 3D files for CNC milling, laser cutting, laser etching photographs and blocks for printmaking, vinyl cutting, making stamps for ceramics, 3D scanning, and 3D printing. She is available to give presentations about her art practice and cultural production and to assist with digital fabrication orientation sessions and in-class workshops throughout the college.
