The Penn State School of Visual Arts (SoVA) announces its annual BFA student exhibition opening at the Edwin W. Zoller Gallery on Wednesday, October 2. The show features an array of artworks, including installation, photography, ceramics, painting, sculpture, and printmaking, and will be on display through October 10. Free and open to the public, an exhibition reception will be held in the gallery Monday, October 7 at 5:00 PM. Light food and refreshments will be served. This exhibition of talented BFA students presents an array of themes as the artists experiment with diverse media. Observe how they blend improvisation and chance with deepening skills and mastery in their work. Discover students’ conceptual approaches to subject matter and its relationship to their world as they progress in the BFA degree. Engage with our students’ innovative art that challenges and provokes dialogue within and across cultures and media.
The Edwin W. Zoller Gallery is a non-profit exhibition space dedicated to the advancement of the visual arts and is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. during Fall and Spring semesters. Zoller Gallery was founded in 1971 and is located in the Visual Arts Building off Curtin Road adjoining the Palmer Museum of Art on the University Park campus. Public programming at Zoller includes artist lectures, visual art performances, artist residencies and interdisciplinary events. This facility was named for Edwin W. Zoller in recognition of his dedicated career as an artist and teacher.
