Graphic Design Alum Katherine O'Hara to Discuss Marketing, Entrepreneurship

Penn State Graphic Design alum Katherine O'Hara, founder and CEO of The O'Hara Project, an integrated marketing firm with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to non-profits, will give two presentations on Tuesday, November 14, in the Palmer Lipcon Auditorium, Palmer Museum of Art. She will present on Arts and Design Marketing from noon to 1:20 p.m., followed by a discussion on Launching an Arts and Design Enterprise from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The presentations, sponsored by the College of Arts and Architecture's Arts Entrepreneurship Program, are part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Penn State. During her first presentation at noon, O'Hara will present her approach to marketing, and offer suggestions and a workshop for how artists and designers can develop and improve their marketing skills. During her 1:30 presentation, O'Hara will tell the story of how she started and now sustains her design business, and will give start-up advice and a workshop for artists and designers who want to start their own arts and design ventures. The O'Hara Project, founded in 2011, offers marketing, public relations, and ideation services.
